MISSION STATEMENT
|
It is the intention of the ""Prison Reform Unity
Project"" to: Coordinate an annual day of unity for all human rights and
prison reform groups. Facilitate with organizations, the families and friends of prisoners
and people of conscience to conduct annual rallies at state capitols, prisons
and other appropriate sites across America in support of human rights and
prison reform. Assist existing organizations to cement friendships and create
networks, which will permit them to better work together to achieve their
goals toward the cause of human rights and prison reform. Bring together individuals to actively participate with
activist groups on Prison Reform Unity Day thereby encouraging people to join
the existing organizations, thus strengthening and further empowering them Form a grass roots block of enlightened and educated
activists, families and friends of prisoners and concerned citizens of such
massive numbers that we can effect with our votes the enactment of
legislation that affects prison human rights issues. |
